Week 1 of Green Smoothies


Well, it's been 5 days since I started the challenge and so far so good. Shelby & I went out this morning and stocked up on some celery, lettuce, kiwi fruit and mixed frozen berries for this coming weeks green smoothies (we already have plenty of apples, oranges and pears). And I found 2.5 kilos of really ripe bananas at 99c a kilo yesterday so we're set for yummy smoothies all week! :) A couple of nice side-effects so far are:

1) Feeling full til lunchtime with plenty of energy to keep going

2) No craving sugar and other junk foods.

3) Craving good foods like veggies and the like!

One of my favorite things about adding lots of greens to my life (green smoothies an easy way) is that my cravings for other foods like sugar and salt are dramatically reduced :)
